Crafted in the Scandinavian “snaps” tradition (known as krydda snaps or “spice-schnapps), once every Midsommar, we gather fresh strawberries and zesty rhubarb from Michigan farms and soak them in our award-winning original “taffel-style” Aquavit for 45 days to preserve the peak flavor of the season. Just before bottling, the spirit is finished with hibiscus flowers and a meticulous vapor-distillation of Damask rose petals for a vibrant hue and delicate balance. It’s like summer in a bottle.
